In 2015, the United Nations adopted a new global sustainable development programme containing 17 goals that the world must achieve by 2030 to sustainably improve the quality of life for future generations.
The Sustainable Development Goals have also become a benchmark for the ASPECT Group in carrying out our activities. Working every day to create our contribution to the global achievement of sustainable development goals has become a priority for responsible companies that choose to implement positive change for people and the planet.
End poverty in all its forms everywhere
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
We want to bring Ukrainians from working abroad back to their families in their homeland, recognizing that this is only possible with decent working conditions and pay.
We see our contribution to this goal in creating new businesses and jobs for Ukrainians and encouraging our partners and contractors to do the same.
End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture
By 2030, everyone on the planet should have access to safe, nutritious food in sufficient quantities to meet their needs. ASPECT Group in partnership with the International Center for Transfer of Agrarian Technologies contributes to this goal by implementing agricultural projects – aquaculture ASPECT-AQUA and dairy ASPECT-LAKTE – by developing the fields of domestic freshwater fish farming and dairy farming, which will make valuable protein- and micronutrient-rich fish species available to Ukrainians and increase milk production volumes, contributing to family dairy farming.
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
The priority of the management of the ASPECT Group is to preserve the life and health of our employees and to create appropriate, safe and harmless working conditions. The company’s health, safety and security policy is aimed at identifying and eliminating the causes of hazards and improving working conditions and the health of employees.
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Cooperation with educational institutions, borrowing know-how from top European manufacturers in Ukraine and Poland, as well as an internal policy focused on personal development, allow us to expand the knowledge and qualifications of our specialists in each of ASPECT’s business areas. Encouraging the training of our multidisciplinary specialists and the thorough work of the human resources department expands comprehensive knowledge and increases the overall cross-section of the qualifications of the teams and the company as a whole.
Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
Reduce inequality within and among countries
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
All people must have equal professional, social, economic and political rights, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, origin, religion, economic or other status. Since its foundation, our company has relied equally on the knowledge, skills and equal contributions of representatives of all statuses. No form of discrimination has been tolerated in the recruitment process, in admissions to work, in the payment of wages or in working or living relationships. We continue to follow this policy and encourage communities to eliminate any examples of gender or other forms of discrimination. In our Code of Conduct, we clearly define compliance standards aimed primarily at preventing discrimination as well as corruption or wrongdoing in all its forms.
Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
All inhabitants of the planet should have access to safe drinking water. Water quality must be improved by reducing pollution, decreasing untreated emissions and significantly increasing levels of safe water reuse. ASPECT implements water and wastewater projects, adhering to sanitary standards and sustainability in the construction process.
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
In Ukraine, 100% of residents have access to electricity, but the share of renewable energy sources and the level of energy efficiency in the economy remain extremely low. ASPECT-ENERGY LLC contributes to this sustainable development goal by designing and building renewable energy, energy efficiency and clean technology facilities. In particular, we have implemented a 750 kW roof-mounted solar power plant, the largest of its kind located within the city of Lviv.
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Industry needs to be modernised to increase resource efficiency and incorporate green technologies into industrial processes. At the same time, the negative per capita environmental impact of cities must also be significantly reduced, particularly in terms of air quality and waste management. To support economic development and human well-being, the ASPECT Group builds high-quality, sustainable, certified infrastructure projects that increase the industry’s share of employment and gross domestic product. Prudent waste management, careful analysis and planning contribute to the protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage.
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development
Sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources, implementation of environmentally friendly chemical and waste management practices throughout the life cycle, and significant reductions of pollutants on land and in the ocean are the priorities of conscientious manufacturers. The ASPECT Group applies design and construction techniques in consideration of the desire of industrial companies to significantly reduce waste by preventing its generation, reducing quantities, and increasing recycling rates. Our procurement and value chain, high standards in the area of occupational health and safety and environmental protection as well as life cycle management methods take into account the criteria of sustainable development. This strengthens the sustainability and the ability to adapt to threats and natural disasters associated with climate change.
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss
ASPECT Group’s contribution to achieving this global goal of ensuring the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems is implemented through the partnership with the International Centre for Transfer of Aquaculture Technologies, which is based on fishery and reproduces freshwater fish populations and stocking water bodies in Ukraine, contributing to biodiversity conservation and counteracting poaching. Our strategy is to abandon the anthropocentric approach to nature management, the “conquest syndrome”, and to introduce a balanced system “environment – society – economy” without threatening the natural environment, human health, and the development of socio-economic processes.
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development
As part of its international cooperation, the ASPECT Group engages the expertise of its partners, introducing best practices on the ground. The global partnership for sustainable development should be strengthened to disseminate knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, and to support the achievement of the sustainable development goals in all countries of the world. Partnerships between the public sector, private companies and civil society organisations should also be encouraged and supported to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
